Quail Hunting.  Live Oak Plantation consists of 3000 acres of managed wildlife habitat providing the finest quail hunting experience you can image.  Purebred  working Pointers and Setters course the broom sage, hedge rows, and ditches in pursuit of the southern Bob White Quail.  Hard to find, and hard to hit, the Bob White Quail is the icon of South Georgia hunting experiences.  Experienced handlers will guide your hunt from a comfortable buggy or a mule drawn wagon affording you every reasonable opportunity for a successful hunt.  We will even package cleaned birds in  soft sided cooler for transport.
Fish for Large Mouth Bass or Bream in any of our 9 trophy managed ponds (ranging from ¼ acre to over 100 acres).  All bass fishing is catch/release from comfortably prepared boats.  Bream can be prepared for dinner that night!  Your experienced guides know where the trophies hide, and how to preserve the memory.  Bring your equipment or use ours ($50 per day).
Hit the links!  Our private golf course features long straight tight fairways, well manicured greens, water hazards, sand traps, and the occasional spectator deer or gopher!  Three fairways complemented by three tee boxes each located with three tee positions create 18 holes of challenging entertainment.  Bring your equipment, or use ours ($25 per day), and jump in one of our carts for a special treat.  This may be the only time you get to play golf in camo or bare feet if you like.  No tee time, no pressure, no one watching.  Just relax and have fun!
Trap Range.  So, you didn’t hit as many birds as you should have during the morning shoot?  We can help.  Spend some time on the trap range with a professional instructor who can diagnose your shooting style, and give helpful instruction that is sure to increase your success rate.  Certain times of the year, we may even have some new guns you can try out.  After all, it can’t be YOUR fault!  Check back to see when our next Demos Days are available.
Sporting Clays.  If the morning birds weren’t challenging enough, or if you just worked out some kinks on the range, maybe you want to try something a little more challenging.  Our sporting clays course features 10 stations with multiple traps and positions.  Designed to complement the southern sporting experience, our sporting clays course will challenge even the most skilled shooters.  Bring along an instructor for assistance,  or a companion to gauge yourself against.
